Abstract

This research explores the application of green supply chain integration to the textile waste management and the application of marketing innovations to sustainability communication in the apparel industry. The data concerning the motivation, strategies and obstacles to adopting environmentally responsible practices were explored using a qualitative research design and thematic analysis and insights provided by industry professionals and sustainability documents. The results indicate that regulatory implications, consumer demands, and organizational commitment compel companies to pursue greener supply chain management, and eco-design, supplier cooperative, closed-loop systems, and reverse logistics are primary waste-minimization initiatives. It was identified that, marketing innovations such as sustainability storytelling, eco-labeling, digital tools of transparency, and circular consumption initiatives strengthened brand credibility and consumer involvement. Nevertheless, technological costs, and lack of supplier alignment, consumer awareness, and threats of greenwashing are some of the impediments to mainstream adoption. The paper concludes that the concept of successful sustainability in the apparel sector involves comprehensive incorporation of the operations practices and open marketing policies.
